ISFA Presents “Power” Education

PITTSBURGH — Knowledge is Power 2014, a two-day education event from the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA), will debut here on May 14-15 at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Founded on the concepts of the Million Dollar Mentor Program and the ISFA Business Boot Camp, the new event features presentations by, and interaction with, six industry experts. With an additional mix of Q&A and open discussions, the session is intended to open up the process of effectively managing a fabrication businesses.
Sessions will include “Shop Ops” and “Fill the Funnel” on May 14, followed by “Be A Leader” and “Digital Grab Bag” on May 15. Each session will include several presentations the experts, along with discussions of real issues and challenges faced by participants.
Presenters at Knowledge is Power (with area specialties) are:
- Russ Berry, A.S.S.T president (project planning and estimating);
- Aileen Davis, Stone Marketing Systems president (marketing and connecting);
- Harry Hollander, Moraware president (data management);
- Jason Nottestad, VT Industries sales manager (manufacturing technologies);
- Chuck Sawyer, ISFA executive director (financial management); and
- Jeff Schurman, Leading Causes LLC consultant (leadership and organizational development)
Before the event, all participants will also be asked about the goals, aspirations and challenges facing their companies. The answers and comments provided will provide the basis for a dialog about what today’s leaders are facing – a dialog that will be woven throughout the fabric of topics covered during the event.
The ISFA anticipates 20 participants; a number large enough to ensure plenty of interaction, yet small enough to allow for everyone to participate. The cost is $399 per person for both days, or $199 for one day.
