Breton Acquires Wire-Saw Maker Bideseimpiani

CASTELLO di GODEGO, ItalyBreton acquired Bideseimpiani, the machine division of Bidese Group, earlier this month. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

As part of the agreement, announced yesterday, Breton also agreed with an equal participation with Fara Vicentino, Italy-based Bidese on the latter firm’s Boart & Wire, a leading manufacturer of diamond wire.

Bideseimpianti became one of the first companies to bring commercially viable multi-diamond-wire (MDW) saws to market in 1995, delivering a 50-wire saw to Granisa of Porriño, Spain, in 2000. (Later modifications brought the wire count to 58 for Granisa). Current production models from the company include single-wire saws and MDW saws with up to 70 wires (the Gold 70).

Bideseimpianti also offers a stone-panel cutter for 2cm-10cm slabs (the Razor Stone), plus the Elite line of CNC milling machines.

The announcement from Breton also noted that, “The Bidese brothers shall keep giving professional and working support both on the wire machines as well as on the diamond-wire compartment.”
