Kleber is First G3 Award Winner at Gallegos

VAIL, Colo. – Joe Kleber is the first recipient of the G3 Gold Award as employee of the year at The Gallegos Corporation (TGC).

joekleberJoe KleberKleber, a 21-year employee at the Colorado stone company, earned the honor for his ability to effectively lead projects, teams, build relationships, and earn the respect of his crew, his fellow Gallegos employees and Gallegos’ clients.

Kleber also identified the shortage of qualified tradesmen in the construction industry, and created the company’s apprenticeship program. He received certification last year as a National Center for Construction Education and Research Master Trainer, and has worked diligently to certify trainers and build the core program.

He successfully assisted Gallegos in launching a program that now includes four trades – concrete, masonry, plaster and marble installations.

The new award is named for the company’s founder, Gerald G. Gallegos, who built his namesake firm from some masonry tools, a wheelbarrow and a pickup truck to a multi-state enterprise with a focus on stone masonry. His commitment to quality craftsmanship led to the company becoming a leader in residential and commercial masonry construction services.

Gallegos passed away in August 2010.
